The project operates as a study of religious products sold online, representing the contemporary nexus of religion, consumerism and modern capitalism, in which we locate ourselves.
It addresses the powerful forces of consumer culture which appropriate and commercialize almost everything, and even a religion cannot escape from the invisible hand of market economy.


インターネットで販売されているキリスト教関連の商品を通して、消費文化の強力な渦の中に生きる人間の営みのおもしろさを 浮かび上がらせる。「主の祈り」は キリスト教のほぼ全ての教派で唱えられる代表的な祈祷文であり、カトリック系ミッションスクールに通った武村が15年間唱えた定型文でもある。
マックス・ヴェーバーは資本主義の興りはキリスト教に依ると唱えたが、現代において市場経済の見えざる手が私たちの生活の隅々まで浸透している様子は、さながら神に替わる超自然的存在のようである。
